Fool For Love
by Sam Shepherd
May 2012

Eddie and May are the fools. May is hiding out in a seedy motel on the outskirts of the Mojave Desert when her cowboy, stunt man and ex lover, Eddie, shows up to take her back to their broken down trailer, Eddie tries his best to tame May but she will have no part of it. An Old Man watches the lovers from a broken down chair that is situated at the outer edge of the stage set. In the middle of one particularly explosive encounter between May and Eddie, a local, good-natured handy man named Martin shows up to take May to a movie. Confounded and confused, Martin spends an uneasy evening watching tempestuous lovers duel it out in old wild-west style.
