Gabriel Kahane to make a rare appearance in Sonoma County as a benefit for Main Stage West
Musical prodigy – composer, singer, songwriter, arranger and stage performer – Gabriel Kahane, will be in Sonoma County for the first time since his meteoric rise to critical acclaim in the New York and Los Angeles music scenes, to perform a benefit concert for Main Stage West.
Son of former Santa Rosa symphony conductor, Jeffrey Kahane, Gabriel has taken the American musical scene by storm since the release of his newest Album, The Ambassador in 2014. He recently performed a fully staged version of The Ambassador live at New York’s prestigious Next Wave Festival directed by Tony Award winning director, John Tiffany (Once, Blackwatch). He appears at the Freud Theater in LA on February 27 and 28.
Gabriel will perform an intimate solo concert, following a dinner and auction, in support of Main Stage West at the French Garden on March 29.The festivities begin at 5:15 with a champagne and hors d’oeuvre reception, followed by a multi-course gourmet meal, silent and live auctions, and culminating in an hour-long performance.
This once-in-a lifetime chance to see and hear a genius artist at the beginning of his career is available to only 100 guests.A far cry from NYC’s Brooklyn Academy of Music and Carnegie Hall, this intimate concert is something truly rare – a culinary & musical experience to be talked about for years.
Mr. Kahane will be presenting pieces from several albums including The Ambassador, which Rolling Stone Magazine called “one of the very best albums of the year .” He performs on a Yamaha grand piano (an official Yamaha performer) as well as several other instruments.
