How do you imagine Jefferson and Hemings’ master/slave relationship? How did Jefferson reconcile the contradictions? Why did his children with Sally remain enslaved till his death? Why did he free ONLY his children and never anyone else? Let your creative juices flow and write a 10-minute play. Submissions are due by March 1st. We’ll select a few and stage them on April 16th at 7p.
