In David Templeton’s lyrical new solo show, the author of ‘Pinky’ and ‘Wretch Like Me’ tells a whopper of a true story. When a tragedy strikes his family at the beginning of the holiday season, he finds himself caring for his two small children, who are suddenly experiencing their first Christmas without mom. Amidst a confusing mixture of grief, funeral arrangements—and a growing mountain of Christmas cookies—an overwhelmed and utterly unprepared David launches an elaborately detailed plot to keep the magic of Christmas alive for his kids—a scheme that soon backfires in unpredictable and life-changing ways.
